Electrometallised Textiles, Grown Not Sewn

Posted on Tue, April 5th, 2022

During my creative career I have established a niche in contemporary textile practice by working in an innovative forward thinking interdisciplinary way in line with the historic and modern ethos of artisan inventors, this involves applying new electronics product and conventional electro-metallurgy to textile design. I have conceived a new form of metallic embellishment that is ‘grown not sewn’, bridging the gap between print and embroidery using electric current and copper rather than needle and thread.
